This is an offline edit of my production. I have edited the clips together in sequence but I haven't included any of the visual effects or added any graphics to the sequence. The video is edited to the story board and each of the shots lines up with the story board.
Here is screenshots of my editing process. In these screenshots and I am simply using the blade tool to cut up different clips and then placing them in the right order according to the storyboard. Then I replayed the clips in sequence and began looking at what needed improving before I sent it to my focus group and changed the duration of some of the clips (without adding any effects) and then I exported the video and showed it to my focus group.

Runaway Final edit
Based on my feedback I wanted to give my piece a professional feel, in order to do this I added text towards the beginning of the video, I feel this made the video more identifiable as a music video and also provided the audience with the information needed to research the song and artist, which helped the video fit the puropse of the brief ( to be an audio visual promo). Screen shot of me adding text:
I also felt like the arrows didn't stand out enough in my piece so I went through and colour graded them to make them glow and stand out as I feel like this would really emphasise the narrative and help drive the plot. Here is a screen shot of me doing that :
In addition to this I felt that the club scene didn't contrast enough to the lighting and look of the everyday school shots, this made it look cheap and unprofessional. In order to change this and make sure that the club scene popped in terms of lighting and colour I increased the saturation and lowered the black dark lighting whilst increasing the highlighting . Here is a screen shot of me doing that :
Furthermore, the feedback that I received said that it was difficult to tell what elements of the club scenes were flashback or not. In order to change this I added glow and fade effects on the shots that were flashbacks, so that the lighting would indicate that they were memories. This is screenshots of me doing this by using a colour and glow filter called dream :
